Sherborne and Chase At Sherborne we have always been keen to support worthwhile causes within the community and are pleased to have adopted CHASE as our primary charity. CHASE is a very special children's hospice service dedicated to the support of children who are not expected to reach their 19th birthday. For these children there is, at present, no hope of a cure, but they and their families need support over the course of the life ahead of them. CHASE can, and does, bring true quality of life to them and their families. Sherborne participate in a number of fundraising events in support of CHASE and very much welcome the participation of our staff, customers and suppliers. Whilst there is ongoing activity supporting CHASE each year we undertake a major fundraising event – this year Managing Director, Chris Long has raised over £5000.00 in sponsorship by completing the New York Marathon. Other events in recent years have included a charity football match at Stamford Bridge against a celebrity team which included Robbie Williams, a golf tournament with our customers and suppliers, and sponsored free-fall parachute jumps by members of our staff. Additionally Sherborne are an active part of their close community, supporting local schools and charitable organisations and directly sponsoring two local junior football teams. |
